SheDoes At The County Supervisor's Hearing, Los Angeles-Voices of the Homeless Women

29186599_10155816842507107_2810268956575662080_o
I was so honored to be able to speak today and most importantly have these brave women next to me. It was an honor and privilege to be able to share my story and make an impact. This is just a beginning of our journey, WE are here to make the necessary change so no woman would ever suffer again. #SheDoes

These are our #SheDoes Warriors who spoke today at the Measure H fund allocation hearing. These #SheDoes Warriors not only spoke, but 5 shared their personal stories of surviving sexual assault, rape, homelessness and mental illness. They spoke as women who conquered insurmountable odds who are now advocating for those whose voices are being ignored. The panel started on a light note but after hearing these #SheDoes Warriors, the mood changed from happy to somber to an atmosphere of how do we help our homeless mothers, daughters, sisters, and grandmothers. Our speakers humanized a dehumanized population using their own experiences.
One of the moderators behind the panel kept wiping away tears & afterward many came up to our group and thanked us for the impact our speakers made. What #SheDoes will achieve beyond sheltering the first 1000 women is humanizing and changing the way people see homeless women.
That is the power of the hashtag #SheDoes. That is the difference you make every time you comment #SheDoes. If it hasn’t occurred to you yet, please know that what you are doing is changing the way Angelenos see homeless women from drug addicts & failures to showing them as our mothers, daughters, sisters, and grandmothers!

Empowering and Inspiring Women Globally- Homeless Women Los Angeles 03/23 by DiannaBelleRose | Entertainment Podcasts:

'Simple, there are 6,700 women living unsheltered on our streets by official count. By unofficial count, including the women crashing on couches and sleeping in cars, we probably have over 30,000 women in the city of Los Angeles and over 50,000 in Los Angeles county. These women are continuously exposed to extreme violence, sex crimes, and the weather.' Mel Tillekeratne

When it comes to teen sexual abuse, the problem is more common than one might think. While not considered terribly common, the problem is not considered uncommon. And, because less than half of sexual abuse is reported, it could be more prevalent than most people are willing to admit. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider teen sexual abuse, and how to stop it. One way is education. It is important for teens and adults to understand that sexual abuse of teenagers is wrong, and that it can encompass a variety of sex acts, and that fear, impaired judgment (due to drugs, alcohol or mental state) and coercion can lead to sexual abuse, even though the victim may not actively resist. A victim whose compliance is due to factors other than a desire to engage in sexual activity has not actually consented. Source TeenHelp.com

Empowering and Inspiring Women Globally- Domestic Violence Awareness 2017 10/15 by DiannaBelleRose | Entertainment Podcasts

Empowering and Inspiring Women Globally- Domestic Violence Awareness 2017 10/15 by DiannaBelleRose | Entertainment Podcasts:
"Domestic violence is, in many ways, a quiet epidemic. Though in plain sight, victims are often invisible, fearfully denying their situation and hiding behind the facade of a happy home. But the statistics reveal a shocking reality. Every nine seconds, a woman in America is assaulted or beaten, according to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. A mind-boggling one in three women (and one in four men) has been a victim of physical brutality by an intimate partner, the group also reports. Diana Bellerose Foundation- Raising Money for Education and DV Prevention For Women and Girls

I wish to visit India and eventually Pakistan this year. My mission is to help educate girls and boys of how pivotal is to love each other and dissolve differences based on gender, language, color of the skin or anything which creates separation because WE are the same, so I am looking for a crew to accompany me when I visit India this year. The reason is because I wish to interview leaders, visit schools, learn about their life and learn about what they wish to see changed.
I would love if someone or a company wish to be be part of the interviews and help finance the visit. In exchange, they will have their companies name connected to this amazing documentary and their financial support will make a huge impact in the lives of  children and their families.
There is no a price tag attached to something like this, the feeling of making a difference in the World is the return for the investment.
In addition, I will add my book to help as well, every book sold the proceeds will go towards education and building of schools as well us the mission for ending gender based fetus abortion. This will eliminate the violence against women and help create the World we always wanted with more education anything is possible.
Please contact my assistant Priyanka Gupta who will answer any questions you might have, and we are looking for make up artist who will have his/her name attached to the documentary in return. Thank you, Dianna Bellerose
